And when finally
The sky came smashing down—!
All that remained of chicken little was
Two tiny feet poking out from under a very large rock.
Children can be so cruel.
But now, the threat having been eliminated,
They (meaning the murderers)
Could triumphantly return to their
Safe spaces and video games
Patting each other on the backs
Congratulating one another
For a job well done!
Meanwhile, the big bad wolf lies in wait…
