Professionally speaking,
Between you and I,
Contact
Is inappropriate when:
I ask you, āStop.ā
And you refuse.
I tell you, āStop.ā
And you refuse.
I have no choice but to make you stop.
What part of this do you not understand?
So, you rubbed me the wrong way; itās ok.
Learn from it, my friend.
Yes, itās all fairytales and tragediesāand
Divine Comedies.
The horror of this world is too great to speak of here…
Let the sirens sing their songsāwhat do you care?
āLook your own nose!ā The Old Man would say.
Gurujiāas he was known to most.
For whom does the bird sing?
If she sings only for herself we will come to know…in time…
But see,
I hope itās not too late:
I believe God brought us all together here;
For better or for worse remains to be seen.
But one of us has fallenāand is nowhere to be heard…
So sing little angel sing donāt you cry:
Unplugged from the grid
Her her own avarice brought her down
Friend turned into enemy
Now everyoneās a clown!
Hope hath a friend in laughter…
Be well, my friend.
Thank you for being a kind friend in my time of need. I appreciate you letting me speak my mind. Always, without judgement. Without hate.
Now, I donāt know what goes on behind closed doors; but professionally speaking, pretending or not I donāt knowānor do I particularly careāI also have nothing to hide except my own bad temper…so I try to mostly keep to myself, you know what I mean? Work on my own healing. Donāt go chasing after every pretty girl I see on the internet! Get to really know myself insideāsee just what it is I have to offer her. “Ти Š Š¾Š·ŃŠ¼ŃеŃ?”
āNow youāve made trouble for yourselfā I can hear my grandma sayingābut in Ukrainian…
I tried to give her warningāit was a warning to myself.
Help her; prayer for her. Now. Today. Donāt delayā
Or just let her die
Quietly
On a beach… let her die the foul thing that she is…
Prayer for her soul
We each must follow our own path
But we can pray for one another
Along the way…
Sweet little sister
Taken in by surprise
What was your plan
No one can surmise
Now you are down on your face
Inside feels the disgrace;
What will you do?
What will you do?
Who will you turn to
In the hour when
You are
All
Alone
And death smites you
On the cheek, dear
And no one hears your cries
Will you rise up
Come full circle?
Or will you keep falling down
On your face
In the dirt
I fear
For a whole ānother round…
So itās the story over and over
Again and again
Of how the Harlot and the Lover
Conceived a world to fade
Always and forever
Never ending
Always
Being remade…
Our death is butāour beginning.
Donāt hasten
Donāt tarry…
Live your life!
Love
First your
Self;
Then love
Everyone else
As you wouldā
Yourself.
Then
When judgment day comes–
We will know…
With love and gratitude your friend,

It was such a great post, Nina! Loved all the poems and honestly, they have me shivers around my spine. It was such a creative way you created the post… I hope your thumb is okay now š And did you have your adventures?
Lots of love and warm regards!

It’s amazing how reading can touch our hearts so well. I especially liked the line “I tell you to stop” It seems just the words I would like to say to my bullies.
It’s great that you are healing and I’d love to hear about your adventures!
My exams going pretty smooth. Till now I’ve got full marks in all of the results shown… Yay! I am so happy š ā¤

Great! Keep up the good work! What do you intend to study in college?
Stop is so simple yet such a powerful word. Just stop.
Bullies are just there for us to exercise and experience our own strengths and awesomeness. š

I would study Literature in College. š But I am 14 years now so a bit faraway from college.
And yes, I have learnt to ignore my bullies and decided to show them I am better than any of their scorns š
Thank you so much for asking!

Excellent! 14 is a wonderful ageāand trust meāthe next four years will go by in a flash! What you read today (even though it seems far away) will prepare you for college literature. Looking backāthere are so many great books I wish I read when I was younger! Iām making up for it now.
Bullies are funny, no? Itās so obvious that their scorns come from their own weaknesses, insecurities or even worseāabuse. Itās just another way to hide their own hurts. And then some people are just plain mean. But itās ok. Glad you know yourself!š

Well, over time, I have started to feel for my bullies too. They are humans and perhaps a little bit of goodness can change them. Last month, two of my bullies apologised to me and now we are back to normal I guess.
You are really a good person to have some compassion! Our society needs more people like you, really.
I’m sorry if I bring back any sour memories, but did you have any childhood bullies?

Oh my goodnessādid I ever! I could write a book! No need to be sorry. Is what it is. Makes me wonderādo they still remember? Nah…probably not.
That is very kind of you to sayāyes society does need compassion. And forgiveness and also indifference which is something Iāve learned over the years. Very empowering.

I studied many subjectsāand Iāve not yet finished my studies. Writing, psychology, political science, herbal medicine…I got married, put college on holdāand we traveled and lived in India for a different kind of study. There are some things I would do differentlyābut we learn and grow. Do take your studies seriously when you can!
Some books I wish I had read: Iām now reading https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12505.The_Idiot which is a delightful read set in Russia 1800ās.
I just finished reading Joseph Campbell āHero with a thousand facesā which is probably more college levelāwish I had read as a younger girl https://creativeenglishteacher.com/pages/teaching-joseph-campbells-the-heros-journey

Oh thank you so much!
I think there is no limit to knowledge and we can study anytime and everytime.
If you don’t mind me asking, are you going to university now?
And I really try to concentrate at study in school. I listen to every word my teachers say, note them down and try to complete my homeworks in off-periods. I have quite became a teacher’s pet now š
And I really love reading about Russian Revolution. My favourite childhood read was “Grasshopper: The Little Soldier”
Do you live in Ukraine?
Thank you so much again!

I love history. My family left Ukraineābecause of the revolution. They were forced off their farms by the communists. It was a difficult time for everyone. My grandmother used to tell me storiesāalways with tears in her eyes, but no one really wanted to talk about it. Too painful. Many people lost their homes, livesāeverything. So, I am the daughter of Ukrainian immigrants born and growing up in America.
I wrote a poem called āSong for my Unborn Childā a prayer for reconciliation with our bloody past. Perhaps Iāll repost it…

Oh, that is a sad news. I am so sorry if I had stifled up painful memories. I had a Ukrainian friend who said he hated “nationalism” a lot.
It’s really sad what heights man can go in names of “peace”. In many a history class I was close to tears reading about the painful pasts. But to imagine… I met someone who really faced something like it.
I will love to read your poem!

There was certainly much chaos then…
If you don't mind and if it doesn't hurt, can I ask you about the Ukrainian nationalism someday?
And what is your favourite type of history? Ancient? Medieval? Modern?

You may ask me anything anytime. No worries. I will try to answer you the best of my understandingāwhich is always subject to change mind you. It is time to speak about it now. This is the only way we will heal.
My favorite type of history is all history! Every culture and peopleās history fascinates me. Civilizationās long march towards humanity. We are still marching todayāAnd seems we still have a long way to go.

Thank you, Steve for all your inspiration. See? Never a bother. Ever. I hope our struggles can help one another to seeāwe arenāt alone. And sometimes we actually need one another! But in the end we are all going to the same place. Of course, how we go either kicking and screaming or quietly enthusiastically is entirely up to us!
My big fat ugly thumb is incredible. Trying to be gentle and yet firm with its healing. No mollycoddling! šš¦ok maybe just a little. Ice cream heals too. š

Yes, we do need one another at times for sure and everything will be okay, even if it takes time to heal. Sometimes that healing is slow, but it comes. I am sometimes impatient with things, wanting things done quickly, but it doesn’t always happen that way. But it’s coming I’m sure. Thanks Nina, have a great evening!ššøš³š¼

Comedy is my favorite part, and it’s especially cool when it parodies the horrors, dramas…thrills that keep us on the edge of our seats. Oh…and I love the romance, too. I’m a Jane Austin fan (shhh…it’s a little secret…and thank God for ever last audio books).

I mean honest to goodness awe-inspiring creativity! Fresh baked bread with butter and honey! And coffee with cream. This is magic. I too am a bit of a romantic. Your secret is safe with me.
