  1. To say this, in itself is courageous and inspirational. And you do it in the most beautiful way I could ever imagine. I bet your crochet is amazing. Depression can be, so …. dark, empty… lonely. Thank you for posting this and I send you love πŸ’•

      1. Depression is most certainly real, and when you live it you realise just how real. How it can be a central controllung force in your life that you feel powerless against. That effects so much more than just your mood.
.so happy you have a creative outlet, what are you making at the moment?

      2. Yes, wise words here. So true. At the moment I am working on ending my marriage. I guess much like a crochet projectβ€”visualizing what the finished project will look like (a pretty crocheted shawl?) then getting to work making it happen. I’m feeling pretty good about it. A new start. No more taking on other people’s abuse. Not for anything! I’m excited and scaredβ€”but feeling contentment. Freeβ€”for the first time to truly love myself. This is a great feeling. As I write about it, I’m feeling better and better..

      3. That is so huge, in so many ways. I’m glad you are feeling contentment as part of the overall emotional package. It sounds like you are needing this – and the result will be completely worth it – self love – this is what we all need. Keep writing, keep crocheting, keep putting one foot in front of the other. Many many hugs πŸ’•β€οΈπŸ’•

      4. Ahhh….yes. I do need this. It is part of the process. Without endings, there can be no beginnings. We both agree that we need this. And whatever happensβ€”we will both be better for it. Thank you my dear sweet thoughtful and beautiful friend. Hugs received and given. πŸ₯°πŸ€—πŸ’ž

  2. I read β€œI manage the damage!” I’ve never ever heard that statement…not ever! About depression? Mmmmmhhhmmmmm. I get it, and I’d never heard about managing damage; not in word; not in context of any kind, but here…makes absolute sense. Thanks for the insight

    1. Aw sweet Mia. Thank you for the positive energy and love. I totally receive it and feel it!

Yes, me and my husband of twenty plus years β€˜ended’ our marriageβ€”as it was the only way we could come to see ourselves as separate from one anotherβ€”which we so needed to do in order to resolve some long standing issues that were between usβ€”that had become unbearable. We were finding it difficult to move forward. It wasn’t something we could fix. We had to change…
So nowβ€”with faith, compassion, kindness, gratitudeβ€”all of itβ€”we are both learning and growing…growing pains…
Thank you for being there for me my dear sweet friend I have never met. I feel it.
This chapter of my story isn’t the brightestβ€”it is a tough one. I am so grateful for itβ€”and I am so grateful for this man who 23 years ago made a commitment to meβ€”and I to him. Loving a survivor of abuse isn’t easy! I will write more about thisβ€”so much easier for me to explain the feeling with poetry. :)❀️.
And I am humbled and grateful for all of the kind support I’ve received from you and so many super cool people here. I sincerely appreciate you πŸ₯°

      1. Yeah! No regrets! Thank you for this beautiful songβ€”love Edith! Life is a crazy beautiful strange ride indeed! And I have NO idea what’s going on. Heehee…but it sure is fun!

Seems like collectivelyβ€”we are all going through dark daysβ€”as a people perhaps to all learn what we need? I’m hopeful we will learn….

It does feel good to write and share this gift! We all have something to share. It took me a long time to accept my own giftβ€”and feel confident enough to share. Now, I just hope others are inspired to see their own giftsβ€”their own beautiful soul. Don’t be afraid. Take heart and courage! And then see what happens…

Love receiving and giving my dear friend. Always!πŸ€—πŸ’ž

      2. Awe wonderfully said πŸ˜„πŸ˜. Strange times indeed, I feel like the days ahead will be very educational, I think a lot of truths about the past will come to light, but only through embracing the truth of reality can we hope to change it for the better πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—

      3. Yes. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Acceptance.
I’ve been thinking about thisβ€”regrets vs. resentment. I’d rather regret than resent. I do have regrets from my past. I do feel remorse for some thingsβ€”but I also think this is how I have learned to stop those things that cause the regret. NO MORE regrets. So true. πŸ’ž

      4. Well said! Have you heard the poem Wait by Galway kinnell ? It’s amazing I think ☺️. You should read it, I think good times will come for sure. Life comes with risk but at least we tried our best and did it with love πŸ’—πŸ˜ŠπŸ’—.
