Hole in My Heart. A poem of anger, grief and hope. 🕊

July 1, 2019

Anger during the grieving process is normal and healing. Anger directed at one another is not. Experimenting again with video. Hope you like it 🙂 And if you like it– please share it🙏🏻

With love and gratitude,

  2. Great to hear from you again💗!

Love your posts from today’s link. I think anger/ grief are natural emotions, and so important for us to identify, express, understand & hopefully one day let go of to fully heal. It’s great you have the courage to explore such emotions and address the idea of hope and keeping light alive. I’ve learned so much from my toxic relationships(or I prefer to label them incompatible connections) in the past, about myself and others. 😊💗 they taught me to love myself, and helped strengthen me (what doesn’t break you only makes you stronger, right?😑). They also taught me what I am seeking from life – and what I am not 😜

    Re: happy endings 🌈⭐️💗

Happy endings are such a myth! And who wants an end?? Unless it’s like the end in fri*end* etc haha.🤔😜 I think life will always have ups and downs, that’s how we grow and it keeps things exciting.

I guess we just need to find ways to ride the storms, and enjoy them *if at all possible* 😊🌊.

  3. Your voice is so soothing.
Loved the poem. Grief is a part of life. I was going through something similar and I wrote an entire poetry book based on the five stages of grief. Denial, Anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. We all have our own ways of letting out our emotions and honestly do whatever you have to, to heal…

    1. Thank you for saying and for sharing—I love your poetry. Yes, grief is normal and healthy. I like this mantra—“do whatever you have to, to heal…” 🙏🏻
My soothing voice—giggle—even when I’m trying to be angry. Thanks!

  4. Nina. My friend. If you wanted to capture my heart and captivate my senses …. you could not have done anything to do it more completely. This is just……. so…….. full. Full of emotion, beauty (honestly I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed poetry being read more), sadness, anger…. Your voice and words captured all of this and more, I have listened 3x and still want to hear it again….

As for your situation…. hugs my friend. Let yourself be how you need to be. Love to you xoxox

    1. Rachel, I’ve been basking in these words all day….I’m glad you liked this repeatedly! This was a tough exercise for me—finding my long lost voice. A lot of emotional charge here. But, it’s something I enjoy—poetry reading. So, we’ll see—hopefully there will be more.

My situation is looking brighter everyday. A delicate balance I’m learning here. I’m humbled by the warm heartedness and compassion by you and everyone else here. So much gratitude and love receiving and sending!
      Your friend, Nina 🙂

      2. Thanks for that. It’s strange to hear one’s voice—“that’s not how I sound!”
Hardly an expert (you are kind to say) but I do oddly enough enjoy it. It’s a good outlet. And I think something that people appreciate? I hope it’s entertaining. 💞

      3. Yes strange but nowadays we can hear our voice through whatsapp voice messages and other mediums so we have some idea I guess 😊
I have a lousy voice it’s not something we can change but good voice is good to the ear and make the people feel better that’s for sure

      4. A lousy voice? Is this fact or perspective? You know, you are quite poetic, my dear. So…I’m not sure I believe you when you say you have a lousy voice. Not one bit. 😉

      5. Oh my, I think you and I are
        Writing onto something fun here
Cause I totally and 100 percent disagree with you…
        🕊
But I would like to hear more of your perspective. 💞😊

      6. Setting new intentions? What direction do I want to take my life? And what do I really need? Clear out the space…so I can think more clearly. I’ve learned I get distracted easily. Way too easily. Good to clean out…

  7. Absolutely amazing Nina my dear precious friend. Your voice is perfect. Perfect pitch, perfect timing, perfect intonation. You are SO good at this. Please please make some more. If I had seen these wirds on paper they would not have had the impact that they had by hearing YOU speak the wirds. Thankyou for making this Nina. I really look forward to hearing more. I did two in Sound Cloud but haven’t done any lately. Mych much live to you Nina. 💕💕💕💕

  9. Wow, this was just totally amazing Nina!! And I agree with others, you have such a sweet soft voice which makes for a wonderful recording. And your expressions, singing was just perfect, this is a great way to do poetry, it adds much more feeling to the words. I look forward to more even though I imagine it isn’t always an easy thing to do, but it definitely gets your inner feeling coming out so well. Keep that light shining Nina!!😃🌞😺

  11. Spoke volumes
    True even for today
Each persons truth through their own pains eye
Compassion is the only real truth, yet devoid in most situations as we see our world crumbling.
I love your heart and support your strength to call out personal injustice of being sentenced to suffer for others Abusive crimes.
