Epilogue: A Ray of Sunshine🌦

Some super cool bloggers nominated me for Sunshine awards. It’s an honor. Thank you. I’ve enjoyed getting to you know you all more as we’ve shared our posts and thoughts and laughs. Hmmm…writing an acceptance speech is different….not something I’m used to…and I’ve been rather teary-eyed lately. (O menopause take me, I’m waiting!)

Teary in a good way. After the pain, the relief. And what a relief!

Why did I start blogging?

Well, it was clear to me back-up singer for Motley Crue wasn’t going to happen. (Although that is still a fantasy). There was a splinter in my thumb that needed to come out…and the caterpillar compelled me. Ok, ok…I started blogging because I was a total mess and needed a place to put my life in order; to give purpose to the suffering I experienced growing up, and make it art. Art needs sharing lest it becomes stagnant.

Thanks to all the WordPress team for making this platform available! Besides a few minor annoyances—it’s super cool and you all do a great job!

How do I want to be remembered when I die?

On a dark and stormy day;

After the storms pass. Thanks for this, Rachel!

But more likely I will be remembered as the one who didn’t follow rules so well…

Just think of all the poems you will miss.😂Yep, I remember having to write those papers at school, it was okay some summers, but sometimes we didn’t go anywhere, then what to write? All I can say right now is there will be palm trees and nice and warm! And a place I have never been before which is an added bonus. Guess we will both have stories to share, though I might save mine for a winter series just so I don’t always have to talk about cold and snow! Enjoy!😁🌞🌴📷🥳And I get to celebrate my birthday there too!🎈😎🥳

I got in it a little yesterday and the first post I saw was so horribly negative! I just can’t deal with it right now not! Hope your summer vacation is memorable and makes you happy! 🤗

Thanks for the nomination, you know the chance of me actually taking up the challenge is kinda small but it doesn’t mean I love you less, I just never know what to say to the questions!!

    1. I totally understand—and I love the honesty! It’s funny, we can write all day long, but then it comes to answering questions—and I sit and stare, blank. Type, delete, type, delete more….and I stress more—cause I don’t want to leave anyone out! Ahhh…..and I’m not so good at following rules….but I do like these questions.     2. 🥰 haha! I think we probably sing this and in the little kid voice—only no one admits it.

      You are most welcome—and yes, death rebirth—the caterpillar has to die for the butterfly to emerge. I started out on this project to tell my story of childhood emotional abuse. Done. Now, it’s time to move on to something new. So, we are taking a summer holiday.

      But, don’t worry—God willing, I’ll be back. And we will share some more smiles and laughs. I’m glad these posts make you smile! Smiling is beautiful.
