“Blessed art Thou, O Lord, for Thy mercy! Now indeed can I serve Thee out of pure love since I may not expect reward in the future world.”— Baal Shem Tov
These words touch me deeply. The story behind the words is equally sweet. But don’t take my word. Google Baal Shem Tov and discover for yourself the remarkable life of Israel ben Eliezer and his unshakeable faith in God.
Wishing everyone a very happy and productive week ahead.
With love and gratitude,
NZain 🙂

Wow how sweet that video is! I feed hummingbirds with my 3 feeders but never like this! Great post!

Hi Diane! Glad you liked this. These little guys get caught in my husband’s shop in the skylights (exhausted!) and he has to climb up and rescue them. Then he patiently feeds them till they recover. Totally worth it.
Glad to be back from our vacation—still recovering from it! Hope you are having a great day 🙂

A lovely video. The 18th Century rabbi, Israel ben Eliezer, wrote of suffering: “Each prayer has its own meaning, and it is, therefore, the specific key to a door in the Divine Palace. But a broken heart is an axe that opens all the gates.” ❤
