A Single Tear in my Teacup 💧

A single tear in my teacup

Joy in my eyes—

Since you left

And I realized

The pain you inflicted

Contradicted

Every word you said.

So

Now

I’ve proven you wrong.

All along–there was nothing

To fear; a single tear in my teacup

Joy in my heart—

A brand new start.

With love and gratitude,

NZain 🙂

    1. Good morning, Steve and Muffin thanks for visiting! Yes, all the “stuff” that holds us back from living with joy—that we hold on to…and then—“it” leaves and we realize the truth.
Also wishing you all a wonderful day! I’ll come by today and see what you’re up to 🙂

      1. Thanks NZ! I’m a little late getting things going today, had other things that needed attention this morning and since it’s a rainy day, perfect time for getting other stuff done. But posts will be out soon, I hope!😂🌧😁

      2. Always there is hope! Also a rainy day here as well. And chilly too! A perfectly inspiring day to clean house and write poetry by the fire—with a cup of herbal tea!

A good day to be alive and enjoy the beauty of existence—a rare gift indeed. Much gratitude for the ability to share it with friends-on-line-and-in-person.
        😊💦💜

      3. Sitting by the fire and write poetry, sounds so wonderful.😃 I wrote a poem this morning, but no fire to sit beside.😁 I do like to have rainy days now and then, helps to get certain things done, such as the house cleaning. Sigh.😄😸

      4. Oh why the sigh, dear Steve? Having a house to clean is wonderful thing!
I know…easier said than done, eh? Lol..but yes, it does take effort and perhaps will power to do what needs to be done. And in the end-is it worth it? Is any of this worth it?

I will say the work my husband and I do year round-felling trees and processing firewood right down to the kindling-is totally worth the effort-right now as I am warm and cozy. The forest appreciates the work as well! Forest stewardship is some of the toughest work I’ve ever done! And perhaps some of the most rewarding.

Yes, it is wonderful to enjoy the fruits of our labor—whatever that labor may be. To truly be grateful. And also knowing that this extraordinary existence is all absolutely ephemeral! So—who am I really working for?

Ok, on that long-winded note—back to my chores. I have a chicken coop to clean 🙂 hope to share more with you today! 😊

      5. Yes, that’s true, we should be thankful to have a place to clean! And I am, really, but, it’s still my least favorite activity for the day, especially the dusting. Of course, that’s a problem I created I guess, by collecting so much stuff. Then putting all that stuff in a small apartment can actually make it harder to clean. Sigh. That’s me. When I was in my teens our family had wood heat and that was so nice! And one house I rented had a fireplace in the living room and using that in winter was great. It can be a fair bit of work but so worthwhile. Enjoy your coop cleaning!😄🐓

    1. Thank you, Nathan—Emotional Abuse sometimes shows up as flattery. It’s a hook to keep the victim coming back—and once realized—it’s so liberating to be free from that need. Always grateful for your insights and support here. 🙂

      1. Isn’t that so true? Crazy but when you break out of it you see it for what it was.
