Beautiful flowers! Yesterday Steve told me that people hate dandelions and I was surprised and he also said it can be eaten and it’s healthier than lettuce 😊 so happy to see more dandelions and these are great shots by the way 👌😊💕
Thanks! Someone came to our home—she said with disdain “oh you have a lot of dandelions in your yard”. I trying to explain the beauty blah blah blah-she says “I hate dandelions”. I knew she and I could not be friends.
I mean, I get it. Dandelions-persistent and tenacious-do tend to take over if you let them-I’m constantly out there ‘deadheading’ them—keep ‘em tidy—its a balance thing. But, as a plant-they have so many beneficial uses—not to mention yellow! The first sign of spring. Glad you see the beauty. 🌞
Finches and wild turkeys eat the seeds. Honey bees forage. The whole plant is edible and nutritious. Did I mention they too grant wishes? 🧚♀️
I hope Steve enjoys this conversation. 😊
The beauty in these words and pictures is inspiring and made me smile. Beauty is everywhere, it’s all a matter of perception. I too love dandelions, and the picture of the wishing one….. Stunning. I love the whimsy and hope of those little soft fairies. Have a great weekend my friend. 💙
So glad they make you smile! Yes, the little soft fairies…these are happy childhood memories playing with the fairies. 🧚♀️
You also have a great inspiring weekend my friend. 💜🤗
