continued from Prison
…And she exhausted, smiled,
closed her
eyes
and fell
asleep.
April 29, 2019
Fear gripped me
by the back
of my neck
In the
Dead
Of
The
Night
Pulled me
Up
to my
feet
GET UP
Pushed me out the front-door and into a car.
NOW DRIVE
Down
A dead-end road at the edge of the world–JUMP
Into
the
abyss
I
fell…
Swallowed up whole; darkness
all around me. Which way is
up?
Must swim—
Back
Up
To the top—
Breakthrough
A crack
In the seam
I thought I a saw a flash of light…
Followed by sirens-
Another
bomb
Dropped.
Now it was
Terror’s turn; dropped ME to the ground
I couldn’t move…
And an angry mob drew close; lust where
their eyes should have been.
PICK IT UP
I
opened
my eyes
Pulled
my lungs
up tight
And sprang for
an open door-
Which
Opened
Into
A room
Where
A group
Of women
Sat around
A table
Playing
Hearts.
The leader turned, looked at me, (ice where her eyes should have been)
Do you want to be my ‘frienemey’?
Exhale…
I backed up
Against a wall
Disappeared into the shadows
And left unnoticed.
I walked away…
When morning came
I woke to see
Myself
Lying motionless on the floor of a prison cell.
I jumped up
and knelt
next to my
already
cold body.
I lay my hand
over my heart
But felt no response.
Wake up. Wake up! WAKE UP
Just then
I heard a sound-footsteps
The door opened.
Fear walked in holding a sign for me that read: FOOL.
Get up. Time for your sentencing…
Love this post. Society is oppressed women so much, taught us to hate ourselves and doubt or power. I believe a women who is able to conquer this fear, and stand tall in her own power will be a truly splendid thing to behold. I hope the princess realises her own power. If the evil didn’t fear her, they would not try so hard to crush her. 🌎💗🤔😊

I know what a horrible thing to teach little girls! I hope the princess realizes her own power too. So she can empower others.
Interesting thought—evil fearing her….hmmm…💜

Thank you, Huguette for saying so. I always appreciate reading your thoughts. No it’s not easy. Fear is real. And I think fear also has a positive aspect to motivate us into action. I have to think about this more…
I’m so encouraged with the positive response here-rooting for the princess. She still has to go through some deep soul searching…
Be well today, my dear! 💗🧚♀️

Good luck and positive response should always be the answer I guess 😊
My pleasure reading your thoughts as well, and it’s true about the fear motivation, it just needs time sometimes to discover it, that’s it but it’s real! Have a great day ahead 😊

I was gripped by the fear you described as I read this, you managed to immerse me in this fear – and the story of the princess at the mercy of these emotions. I’m hoping for a fairy tale ending for her….. 💜
